About Us

It could be the quietest holiday cottage in the Cotswolds.

It has a 150 meter private sweeping driveway 600 meters down near the end of a (No through road) lane. The cottage has parking space for up to 4 cars & has one EV charger. Dogs & cats are welcome.

You will hear the birds, the trees, the stream in its grounds and on some days, the odd Royal Helicopter landing nearby or winter pheasant shoot, but there is No traffic noise to be heard & it’s a breath of fresh air away in an idyllic secluded spot.
Although it feels a remote wooded valley, there are houses not too far away, but it keeps its privacy when needed. Wild View has a large patio area with reclining sun loungers & teak table & chairs in season, it also has a smaller patio that catches the morning sun for breakfast time with picnic table. It also has an outdoor bath area with magical view to wooded valley, a stand alone outdoor shower & a fire pit area.

Wild View has fibre broadband, two bedrooms, the main bedroom has a king size bed with ensuite toilet & shower & the other is next to the main bathroom which has bath & shower & has a super king zip link bed that can also make two singles.
The open plan living area has kitchen, dishwasher & plenty of worktop space. Oven, hob & microwave. Also two sofas & smart TV.

There is also a flat sand area that children could play football on or other games just below the cottage & tree line. There is a stream further below this, it’s a relaxing sound but we advise not to go too near the stream as banks can be slippery at times.

The Historic Market Town of Minchinhampton is just 600 meters up the lane, famous for its free roaming cattle & ponies. It does feel more like a village, but on paper it’s a town. It has The Crown Pub, two café’s, Boots the chemist & a few shops. There are three footpaths that lead from the Wild view grounds & 1400m in another direction is The Weighbridge Pub & 1000m further than that is the Town of Nailsworth.

Arrival.

Firstly watch out for cattle & ponies on Minchinhampton & Rodborough commons & in town itself, they are out each year from the 13th May. So after dark 28mph on common is recommended. You will eventually weave through the historic market town of Minchinhampton & then when you enter the lane between two rows of stone cottages, you may not believe the gateway to the perfect rural retreat is just 600 meters away. Further details when you book.

When you leave heading back to the Town, the end of the lane aims straight at the church tower & just has a warm feel to it, feels like you are leaving a secret destination behind that you will want to visit again.

We can arrange accommodation for a horse too if needed nearby at www.burntashfarm.co.uk
